NATIONAL PARK SERVICE LIND POINT RESOURCE MANAGEMENT & SCIENCE FACILITY

-
The Virgin Islands are a beautiful but unforgiving place. In 2017, Category 5 Hurricanes Irma and Maria had catastrophic impact on The Virgin Islands National Park, damaging its residences, offices, and research facilities. In response, the National Park Service advanced its mission to preserve the territory’s cultural and natural resources with the opening of the new Resource Management and Science Facility and Housing at Lind Point. Designed for extreme resilience, this facility provides staff residences, areas to encourage community engagement and outreach, and space for research and storage, allowing the protection and study of the islands’ heritage for future generations.
